The Wayback is a virtual reality film series designed for those living with Alzheimer’s and their carers. It aims to recreate popular,
positive moments from our past - taking viewers back in time and immersing them in the sights and sounds using Virtual Reality.
“We would like to transport people back to a moment firmly in the UK’s national conscious; the Queen’s Coronation in 1953. A moment that typically evokes very fond memories
for those alive at the time. We want to make the VR experience as enjoyable and realistic as possible - so we will actually recreate the chosen scenes in exact detail; from
the location, the costumes, the props and the atmosphere. The viewer will be able to fully explore the scene, overhearing conversations and music from the time.’

Above are the logo concepts I designed while at the advertising company. I experimented with showreel film typography and simplifying the lettering to form shapes. Below is the final
logo design which combines a number of the typographic techniques I experimented with. Along with the logo design I also designed a pattern that features on the bespoke VR headset.
